Responsibilities

  • Conduct impactful research on policy design, implementation, and evaluation across various domains, such as social policy, environmental policy, or healthcare policy. Also on public policy issues, economic policy trends, and policy debates in areas such as taxation, regulation, and social welfare. Macroeconomic theory, monetary policy, fiscal policy, and economic stabilization strategies, leading to publications in top-tier academic journals.
  • Teach courses and Design curriculum modules and learning materials that cover theoretical frameworks, analytical tools, and practical applications on policy analysis, program evaluation, and policy design, public policy analysis, economic policy, and policy advocacy, applied economic policy, economic development, and policy implementation, on macroeconomic theory, and macroeconomic policy.
  • Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional pursuits.
  • Contribute to the academic community through service activities, including committee work and participation in professional organizations.
  • Publish scholarly articles in academic journals, presenting original research findings and contributing to the evidence base for policy design and evaluation. And contributing to the theoretical and empirical literature in macroeconomics.
  • Collaborate with policymakers and stakeholders to develop policy recommendations, strategic plans, and performance metrics for monitoring and evaluating policy outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Economics, Applied macroeconomics, Public finance, Public sector Economics, Monetary economics, Economic management policy, Policy evaluation, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A strong record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and theories to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
