James Hope University is located in Lekki, Lagos, a flourishing cosmopolis of Lagos city. Lekki Peninsula is often referred to as the “New Lagos” because, even though it was first settled before the 15th century, its modernization since 2006 has been on fast-track and continues to accelerate rapidly. The Lekki Peninsula is bounded on the west by Victoria Island and Ikoyi, on the east by Lekki Lagoon, on the north by Lagos Lagoon, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean, along which lie its famous beaches and tourist attractions.
