Who are we?

James Hope University (Lekki, Lagos) is a postgraduate university committed to cutting edge international standards of education. The university aspires to integrate global models of academic excellence to advance the knowledge economy, further innovations and breakthroughs, and rapidly propel the economic and sociocultural lives of humanity. Through strategic partnerships and collaboration with leading global academic institutions and crucial enablers, James Hope is developing a School of Business at the highest standards of academics. Funding of James Hope is robust; it is being built by Mr. Jim Ovia, Founder of Zenith Bank, through his non-profit foundation. The university plans to commence formal classes in September 2023. The initial degree programs will be at the master’s level.

 

What personal information do we collect from our users?

When you use JHU online services, contact us via phone or email, or apply to any of our programmes, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you.

You are advised to inform us if there is any change to your personal information to keep our database up to date.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

The general public is hereby informed that it has come to our notice that some unscrupulous persons are passing themselves off as representing or being affiliated with James Hope University. They have been appropriating parts of our brand identity with the intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public in providing or selling application forms.

For the avoidance of doubt, James Hope University is a postgraduate institution and is not in affiliation with any organization for selling forms nor is yet to be opened for admissions, whether online or onsite.

James Hope University shall not be responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liabilities for, damages of any kind arising out of the use of, reference to, or reliance on any information from any person or organization claiming to represent us.

The general public should take note as anyone who engages with any agent or any other platform and material promoted by the imposters does so at his or her own risk.
