Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the highest governing body of the University and is charged with the overall policy direction and financing of the University. The Board is comprised of seasoned individuals who are passionate about education and grooming the next generation of leaders. With their wealth of knowledge and experience, they provide oversight for the governance of the University through strategic decision-making.

The Board of Trustees is currently establishing JHU’s Governing Council, the body charged with the general management of the affairs of the University, in particular the control of University property and expenditures. The Council will be comprised of the following:

Deputy Vice-Chancellors
Senate Representatives (4)
Congregation Representatives (2)
Convocation Representatives (2)
Lekki/Lagos Community Representative (1)
Four Additional Advisors appointed by the Board of Trustees
Representative from the Lagos State Ministry of Tertiary Education
Representative from the National University Commission
The University Registrar, Secretary
