Dr. Chukuka S. Enwemeka is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of James Hope University—Lagos, and an Emeritus University Distinguished Professor and a seasoned leader with extensive academic experience, including roles as President and Vice Chancellor, University Trustee, University Provost and Senior Vice President, Dean, and Academic Chairman at various universities. As a business leader and entrepreneur, he served on the Board of Zenith Bank plc for 12 years and is the CEO of the California-based Samuel Rose Corporation.

He earned his Ph.D. from New York University, his master’s from the University of Southern California—Los Angeles, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ibadan. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Professor Enwemeka served as an elected President of the World Association for Laser Therapy and is the founder and pioneer Chairman of the North American Association for Laser Photobiomodulation Therapy.

As a researcher, he pioneered the development of pulsed blue light technology and holds several U.S. and international patents on the cutting-edge antimicrobial invention. His research work has been featured in major media outlets, including Reuters, CBS News, United Press International (UPI), Entrepreneur, Photonics, Forbes, Fox Business News, Science Daily News, WebMD, The Nigerian Guardian, Gulf News, and Daily India, alongside featured interviews with CNBC, PBS, NABNTV, and Peer Interviews—Nice, France. As a leading academic authority, Professor Enwemeka has over 150 peer-reviewed research publications, books, monographs, and original reports, and has been invited to more than 45 countries as a visiting professor, keynote speaker, academic consultant, etc.
