Application Guide

This step-by-step guide, along with the demo video will guide you through creating an account, verifying it, completing your application, uploading documents, making payment, and submitting with ease.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Let's get started on the journey to becoming a part of James Hope University!

1. Visit the Application Portal
  • Open your preferred web browser and navigate to: https://admission.jhu.edu.ng
2. Select Application Type
  • If this is your first time applying, click “New Applicant”
  • If you have already registered, click “Returning Applicant” to log in and continue.
3. New Applicant

After clicking ‘New Applicant‘, you will be directed to the ‘Apply Now’ page. 

Click on ‘Apply Now’. Once you click on ‘Apply Now’, you will be taken to the James Hope University programme list available for application.

Read more on the list of programmes that would redirect you to the programme webpage for information about the programme.

Click on ‘Apply’ on any of the listed courses to start the application.

4. Account Verification

Once you submit, a confirmation message will appear, e.g.
“Congratulations, James! You have successfully signed up. Please check your email to verify your account before proceeding.”

Important: Do not proceed further on the portal until you verify your email account.

  • Open your email inbox and find the email titled “James Hope University Applicant Account Verification” 

  • If you don’t see it, check your Spam or Junk folders.

5. Verify Your Account
  • Follow the process on the email to verify your email.

  • After the verification you can log in to complete your application.
6. Login and Complete Your Application

Return to the portal, click on Returning Applicant and log in using your email and password.

Fill out the form sections meticulously, upload the required documents all as pdf.

7. Application Payment and Submission
  • To finalise your application, pay an application deposit of NGN 10,000 through the provided payment methods on the portal.

  • After successful payment, submit your completed application.

8. Post-Submission Process
  • You will receive an email confirming your application has been received.

  • The admissions team will review your submitted documents and eligibility.

  • You will be notified via email about the outcome of your application.
