On April 23, 2026, the Vice Chancellor of James Hope University, Prof. Olu Akinkugbe, in the company of Dr. Charles Ujomu, Zenith Bank’s Chief Economist, paid a strategic visit to the National Universities Commission (NUC), as part of ongoing efforts to foster collaboration, promote academic excellence, and enhance institutional development.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor held fruitful engagements with the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Yusufu Abdullahi Ribadu FCVSN, and the Director of ICT, Alhaji L.M. Faruk. Discussions centered on strengthening regulatory alignment, advancing digital transformation in higher education, and promoting innovative academic standards. This visit underscores James Hope University’s commitment to building strong institutional partnerships, leveraging technology, and aligning with national educational priorities to deliver world-class learning experiences. The Vice Chancellor also met with the Director of Accreditation, NUC, Engr. Abraham Chundusu to discuss strategies for improving academic quality and accreditation of James Hope University Programmes.
