Course Description

We live in volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous times, as successful leaders, we need to prepare in advance for any possible scenario by adopting strategies that will allow us to win in the global competitive market place.

Since volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) are basic structural features of today’s global business environment, leaders must confront these dilemmas by understanding the driving forces of STEEP (Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental, and Politics) and its applications in their respective industries.
According to Donald McGannon who said that, leadership is action, not position.

Leadership attracts universal attention because it is all around us. The essence is service, meeting needs and solving problems. The ultimate test of leadership is the ability to initiate and create change. Managers are appointed by other people. Leaders appoint themselves.

Therefore, deciding to be a leader is a choice we have to make on our own.

Objectives of the Program

  1. To learn to become comfortable with uncertainties and disruptions without losing focus and make shifts continually.
  2. To improve awareness of change, as organizations must be prepared for any form of disruption by making their choices to either be a surprise, alternative or expected future.
  3. To increase preparedness and agility by moving forward courageously in the midst of uncertainty.
  4. Allow better strategic decisions by discovering and framing uncertainties using trends.
  5. To live in today but think about tomorrow by having a natural bias toward action by being proactive.
