On April 23, 2026, the President and Vice-Chancellor of James Hope University, Professor Olu Akinkugbe, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu.

The high-level meeting focused on academic collaboration and institutional growth. Also in attendance were Alhaji L.M. Faruk, the NUC’s Director of Research and Innovation, and Mr. Charles Ujomu, Chief Economist at Zenith Bank.
