Vice Chancellor of James Hope University Pays Courtesy Visit to NISER Director General

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Vice Chancellor of James Hope University, Lekki–Lagos, Prof. Austin Nosike, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Economic and Social Research (NISER), Prof. Anthonia Simbine, at the Institute’s headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria.

The visit provided an opportunity to explore areas of mutual collaboration between both institutions, particularly in the fields of economic research, policy development, and social impact initiatives. Discussions during the meeting centered on fostering partnerships that would enhance academic research, capacity building, and evidence-based policymaking—key priorities that align with James Hope University’s vision of advancing knowledge and driving national development.

Prof. Nosike commended NISER’s longstanding contribution to national policy discourse and expressed optimism about potential collaborative research and exchange programs. In her remarks, Prof. Simbine welcomed the Vice Chancellor and reiterated NISER’s commitment to working with academic institutions in strengthening Nigeria’s research ecosystem.
