MBA and MSc Students,
I write to welcome you warmly to the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session at James Hope University. To our returning students, I am delighted to have you back. To those joining us for the first time, I extend a special welcome as you become part of this distinguished community.
Permit me to introduce myself. I have recently assumed office as your Vice-Chancellor, and I recognize that many of you may not yet know me—I met a couple of you already, though. I look forward to changing that in the days ahead. It is my earnest desire not to be only an administrator, but also a visible and accessible presence in your academic journey. I invite you to reach out, share your perspectives, and help me understand how best to serve this community we share.
To our returning students, I offer my sincere appreciation. You have been instrumental in building the character and culture of James Hope University, and I am grateful for the foundation you have laid. To our new students, I say this: You have chosen a university that takes your aspirations seriously. You are now part of a community committed to excellence, integrity, and the development of leaders who will shape the future of businesses and economies.
At James Hope University, our vision is to stand as a globally recognized institution that cultivates transformative leaders. Our mission is to deliver rigorous education that combines academic depth with practical application. For you—our MBA and MSc students—in today’s world that is rapidly migrating from being knowledge-based to skills-based, this translates into a learning experience that is intentionally immersive, competency-based, and experiential. We believe that genuine mastery is forged not in passive reception but in active engagement: solving real-world problems, honing decision-making skills, and building the competencies that will distinguish you as business leaders and policy makers of consequence.
As we journey through this semester together, I encourage you to immerse yourselves fully, collaborate with purpose, and embrace every opportunity to grow and gain experience. My commitment to you is one of unwavering support. My door—virtual and physical—remains open to you.
I wish you a semester of profound learning and lasting impact.
With warm regards,
