London School of Economics visit to James Hope University Campus & James Hope College

The Director of Strategic Partnerships & International Office (Chief Growth & Strategy Officer), Mrs. Zephia Ovia-Ikem, hosted members from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on a campus visit to James Hope University and James Hope College.

This visit comes at a pivotal moment, as LSE’s executive team was in Nigeria as part of their African Alumni Trek—an initiative designed to deepen engagement with their African alumni community. During their visit, the team convened alumni network events across Lagos and Abuja, fostering meaningful dialogue around their strategic vision for the continent.

“As an alumna of the London School of Economics, this was a unique opportunity to facilitate a visit to James Hope University and welcome the team to experience firsthand the foundation of what we are building and direction for the future” said Zephia Ovia-Ikem.

The visit was anchored on two key objectives:

  • To present James Hope University—who we are, the strength of our academic offering, and our vision for shaping the future of higher education across Africa and globally.
  • To explore and lay the groundwork for future strategic collaborations with LSE.

The LSE delegation included:

  • Paroma Bhattacharya, Head of Social Innovation (Research and Programme Delivery)
  • Heather Abbey, Programme Manager, LSE Generate

We are deeply appreciative of the LSE team for taking the time to visit and engage with our community.
